Do you offer motors that meet IEC standards?
Absolutely! We offer a wide range of motors that meet both NEMA and IEC standards, including IEC metric motors with various flange options and frame sizes.

Can you help with gearbox sizing?
Yes, we can absolutely help with gearbox sizing. Just provide us with the application details—such as motor specs, input/output RPM, torque requirements, mounting preferences, and environmental conditions—and our team will recommend the right gearbox for your setup.
What information do I need to provide to get a replacement gearbox?
To help us find the correct replacement gearbox, please provide the nameplate information (brand, model number, ratio, RPM), the type of application it’s used in, motor HP, and mounting style. Photos of the nameplate and the gearbox itself are also extremely helpful, and required with some manufacturers.
What types of gearboxes do you supply?
We carry a broad range of industrial gearboxes, including inline helical, right-angle bevel, worm gear, shaft-mounted, and planetary reducers. Whether you need standard stock or something more application-specific, we can help you find the right fit.
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Can you help me select the right VFD for my motor?

Do you offer VFDs for multi-motor systems?

Do your VFDs come pre-programmed?
This isn’t something that is standard, but if it’s something you need we can definitely get it done! As in addition to selling off the shelf VFDs, we also source custom ones that can be programmed exactly like you need!

What information do you need to build a control panel?
To build a control panel that fits your application, we’ll need some basic details such as the number of motors being controlled, voltage requirements, horsepower, control method (manual, automatic, VFD, etc.), enclosure type, and any specific brand or certification preferences. The more details you provide, the better we can match your needs.
Can you provide panels with UL/cUL certification?
Absolutely! We can provide custom built panels that meet UL and cUL certification requirements. Just let us know during the quoting process so we can ensure all components and documentation meet the necessary standards.

Do you offer help with motor or gearbox sizing?
Yes, and we make it easy! Provide us with a few key details, such as load, speed, duty cycle, and mounting constraints then our team will recommend the right motor or gearbox solution for your specific application.
What should I provide for an engineering review & recommendation?
For an engineering review, please provide technical specs such as HP, voltage, amperage, frame size, and any environmental considerations like washdown, hazardous location, or high-temp exposure. If you’re working with a control panel, also include your system layout or desired functionality.
Can you help cross reference old part numbers or specs?
Definitely! Cross referencing legacy or obsolete part numbers is one of the ways we save customers time and downtime. Just send us any info you have, a photo of the nameplate, model number, or spec sheet, and we’ll take it from there.

Who do I contact for post-sale technical support?

How do I report an issue with a product I purchased?
If you experience an issue with your product, please contact the sales representative who processed your order. When doing so, you can reach them directly at sales@jemamotors.com, but don’t forget to fill out an attach the below RMA.
Can I request programming help for a VFD or panel?
Absolutely, but just be sure to let us know when requesting the quote so we can include programming in the scope of work and ensure the correct configuration is delivered.
Warranty Information
What is JEMA’s Warranty Policy?
With us being a distributor for over 10 different manufacturers, the warranty policy is going to be dependent on the policy of the manufacturer you decide on.
Return Policy
What is the Return Policy?
If you have yet to connect your product up then we’re willing to take them back, but there will be a 25% restocking fee, unless you order something of equal or greater value. However, once it’s been hooked up we can no longer accept a return unless it falls under warranty.
Applying for Terms & Conditions
How do I apply for credit terms with JEMA?
In order to apply for credit terms you’ll need to reach out to our accounting team via email at accounting@jemamotors.com to request the application.
How long does it take to process a terms application?
Credit terms approval times can vary. This is primarily due to the process requiring us to hear back from a few of your credit references.
What are your standard payment terms?
Standard payment terms are via ACH, but on orders under $1,500 we allow for credit card payments with a 3% CC Fee.
